Overview
What is Digital Family Home?
Digital Family Home™ is a household management system that brings budgets, chores, calendars, meals, bank sync, and child accounts into one app for busy families, paired with Mastering Your Home™, a 15-module program that teaches your household to run it. It is built for multi-member households: parents coordinating with kids, couples managing money together, and co-parents sharing schedules across two homes. Every member gets their own view, kids get PIN-protected accounts, and the whole household stays in sync.
What Digital Family Home does
Digital Family Home is built on five pillars:
- Time: a shared family calendar, personal calendars, school events, and custody schedules, so everyone knows what is coming.
- Money: monthly budgets by category, bank sync for transactions and investments, debt payoff tracking, savings goals, a subscription tracker, and net worth.
- Responsibilities: chore management, recurring schedules, meal planning, home maintenance, vehicle service tracking, and pet care.
- Information: secure messaging, health records, school tracking, contacts, and a documents vault for IDs, insurance, and legal papers.
- Goals: personal and family goals that give direction to everything else the household builds.
Who it's for
Digital Family Home is built for busy modern households: parents coordinating across partners and children, multi-generational families, and anyone who wants a single shared system for the schedules, tasks, and finances of running a home.
How Digital Family Home is different
Most family apps hand you tools and leave you to figure the rest out. Cozi is known for the family calendar, OurHome for chores, YNAB for budgets. Each solves one slice of the problem, and none of them teaches you how to run a home.
Digital Family Home is different in two ways. First, it covers the whole household in one login: schedules, money, chores, meals, health, school, vehicles, and home maintenance together. Second, and more importantly, every account includes Mastering Your Home, a 15-module structured program that walks your household through building each system, one step at a time. The tools give you the system. The program teaches you to master it.
Bank sync & finances
Bank Sync automatically imports both transactions and investment balances, with investment accounts flowing straight into Net Worth. Bank Sync is currently available for most banks in the United States and Canada; households elsewhere can import transactions by CSV. Categorized spending feeds the budget, debt, and reporting tools so the whole financial picture stays current.
Privacy & security
Family data is treated as sensitive by default. Financial and household information is encrypted, bank credentials are never stored, and children use restricted PIN-based accounts under parental controls. Households control what each member can see and do through granular roles and permissions.
Common questions
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Digital Family Home offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card needed, after which paid subscription plans are available.
Is it available on mobile?
Yes. Digital Family Home runs in any browser on any phone, tablet, or computer, and can be added to your home screen for a full-screen, app-like experience. iPhone, iPad, and Android apps are on the way, and everything stays in sync across every screen.
How much does Digital Family Home cost?
Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, no credit card needed. After that, paid plans pick up where the trial left off. See the pricing page for current plans and what each one includes.
Does Digital Family Home connect to my bank?
Yes. Bank Sync automatically imports transactions and investment balances for most banks in the United States and Canada, and investment accounts flow straight into Net Worth tracking. Households elsewhere can import transactions by CSV.
Can multiple family members use it?
Yes. Every household supports multiple members, and each one gets their own view. Kids get PIN-protected accounts with age-appropriate access, and people like a nanny or co-parent can be added with limited permissions.
How is Digital Family Home different from Cozi or YNAB?
Cozi handles the family calendar; YNAB handles budgets. Digital Family Home covers both, plus chores, meals, home maintenance, bank sync, and child accounts, in one login for the whole household. It also includes Mastering Your Home, a 15-module program that teaches your household to run the system, which no single-purpose app offers.
What is the Mastering Your Home program?
Mastering Your Home is the structured program included with every plan at no extra cost: a 15-module setup series, then two further series that keep the system alive and take households to mastery, delivered self-paced and through free live small-group cohorts. Households earn titles as they complete each series: Home Builder, Home Keeper, and finally Home Master, with the Master Your Home certification. Live sessions never happen at night; evenings belong to families.
