Digital Family Home ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website digitalfamilyhome.com and the Digital Family Home application (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the Service.
This policy explains what data we collect and why. Using the Service means you're comfortable with these practices. If you have questions, Section 11 tells you how to reach us.

If you connect a bank account through Stripe Financial Connections, we receive read-only access to account and transaction data provided by Stripe. We do not store your banking credentials.
Usage & Technical Data
We automatically collect IP addresses, browser and device type, and usage logs to keep the app stable and safe and to diagnose errors. We also use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors find and use the Service. This relies on cookies and similar technologies that collect usage data such as pages visited and interactions. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to control these technologies.
Communications
If you contact us by email or through the app, we keep your message so we can respond to it.
3. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
4. Third-Party Services
We only share what each provider needs to do its specific job:
- AWS: file storage and transactional email delivery
- Stripe: payment processing and financial account connections
- Google: OAuth sign-in, calendar sync, and contact imports
- Google Analytics & Tag Manager: usage analytics to measure and improve the Service
- Apple: OAuth sign-in
- Microsoft: OAuth sign-in, calendar sync, and contact imports
- Anthropic (Claude): AI assistant features (permission-controlled)
Each provider's use of your data is governed by their own privacy policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, access ends immediately and your data is archived for 90 days so it can be restored at your request. After 90 days it is permanently deleted, except where retention is required by law.
6. Security
We protect your data with TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive data, secure password hashing, and role-based access controls. No system is completely secure. If you think your account has been compromised, contact us right away through our contact form. We take security reports seriously and respond quickly.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Data portability (receive your data in a structured format)
To exercise any of these rights, submit a request through our contact form. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
The primary account holder must be at least 18 years old. Digital Family Home supports child (minor) accounts created by a parent or guardian within an existing household.
For minor accounts:
- Access requires a household-specific PIN, not an email/password
- Financial features, document storage, and AI tools are restricted by default
- The parent or guardian manages the minor's account and can remove it at any time
- We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 outside of this supervised household account structure
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data without appropriate parental consent, contact us through our contact form and we will promptly delete it.
9. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management, and analytics cookies set by Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how the Service is used. We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies. For full details on each cookie and how to control them, see our Cookie Policy.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
