Is Digital Family Home free? Is there a trial?

Every new household starts with a free trial of the core tools: budgeting, calendar, chores, meals, and kids' accounts. A few premium features, like automatic bank sync and the AI voice assistant, come with a paid plan, so the trial gives you a real feel for the everyday stuff before you decide.

How do I add my family to my account?

Go to Settings → Household → Members and invite each adult by email, or set up a child or teen with their own PIN. Everyone gets their own view based on their role, so kids see their world and you see yours.

How do kids and teens sign in without a password?

Accepted Answer

Kids sign in with a simple PIN instead of a password. On the sign-in screen, choose "Kid or teen? Sign in with a PIN", enter your family's URL, pick the right person, and tap in their PIN.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

On the sign-in page, choose Forgot password and we'll email you a secure reset link. It's good for a short window, so use it soon after it lands.

How do I change my email or password?

Open Settings → Profile to update your name, email, or password. While you're there, you can turn on a passkey or two-step sign-in for extra peace of mind.

Can I use Face ID or Touch ID to sign in?

Yes. On the mobile app, turn on biometric sign-in after your first login, and passkeys work on the web. After that, getting in is one tap.

How do I change, upgrade, or downgrade my plan?

Go to Settings → Subscription to compare plans and switch whenever you like. Changes take effect right away, and we prorate the billing so you only pay for what you use.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open Settings → Subscription and choose to cancel. You keep full access until the end of your current billing period, so nothing turns off early. Our Billing Policy has the details.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit and debit cards, handled securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

Can I get a refund?

If something isn't right, reach out. We want you to feel good about your plan. Refunds follow our Billing Policy, which spells out when and how they apply.

How do I connect my bank to Digital Family Home?

Go to Settings → Integrations and open Bank Sync to securely link your bank. Once it's connected, your transactions flow into Activity, where you can review them and add them to your budget in a tap. Bank sync is a premium feature on a paid plan.

How does the household budget work?

Set up your categories in the Money Map, plan an amount for each one, and we'll track your real spending against the plan automatically, whether you add transactions yourself or import them from your bank.

Can each family member see only what they should?

Yes. Access is role-based, and you can hide specific features for any member. Kids get a simpler, age-appropriate view, so they only see what's meant for them.

Is my family's data secure?

Yes. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is tightly controlled, and we never sell your personal information. Our Privacy Policy lays out exactly how we handle and protect it.

How do I delete my account and all my data?

Accepted Answer

If you're signed in, go to Settings → Account → Delete account, type your account email, then enter the 6-digit code we email you. It's processed right away. Only the guardian can do this, since it removes the whole household. If you can't sign in, email us from your account's email address or use the Delete Account page, and we'll verify and complete it. Your data is held for 90 days in case you want it back, then permanently deleted. Deleting a guardian account removes the whole household.

Do you sell my data?
