Delete Your Account & Data
Last updated: September 1, 2026
You can permanently delete your Digital Family Home account and all associated household data at any time. This page explains how, what gets deleted, and how to request deletion if you can no longer sign in.
Option 1: delete from the app (fastest)
If you can sign in, delete your account directly. Only the guardian (primary account holder) can do this, because it removes the whole household:
- Open the Digital Family Home app or website and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Select Delete account.
- Type your account email to confirm.
- Enter the 6-digit code we email you. Deletion is processed immediately.
As the primary account holder (guardian), deleting your account removes the entire household, including all member sub-accounts.
Option 2: request deletion (no sign-in needed)
If you can't sign in, request deletion here. We verify ownership of the account before deleting anything. Your data is then held for 90 days so it can be restored if you change your mind, and permanently deleted after that.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your profile and login credentials
- All household and member sub-accounts
- Calendar events, budgets, transactions, and paycheck data
- Health records, documents, and uploaded files
- School, chores, goals, meals, inventory, pets, vehicles, and maintenance records
- Messages between household members
- Any connected bank-account data and integration tokens
Data retention
When you delete your account, access ends immediately and your data is archived for 90 days, so you can ask us to restore it, and permanently deleted after that. A limited set of records may be retained longer only where required by law (for example, billing and tax records for completed payments). This aligns with our Privacy Policy.
